I have just bought another one as a gift. This is very well made and with the ceramic tray, looks lovely on the side in the kitchen too, Very happy with this. Would highly recommend - it is also a very good price for the quality too.

I’ve had a few different types of sprouters, mostly the smaller, 3-tiered plastic ones. I found that alfalfa seeds in particular got caught in the grooves and were difficult to remove. The jars are great. Pop the seeds in; cover with water and leave overnight; rinse. Rinse twice daily and turn upside down to drain. SIMPLES1 The mesh sits between a platic inner rim and a metal outer rim. Plenty of air to circulate around the seeds. Easy to clean. I use a couple of tablespoons of mixed seeds in one jar, and use another jar for sunflower seeds as these tend to be larger. I have 4 jars in all, so that I can sprout the seeds a few days apart, so that I have a continuous supply for smoothies or salad.

Loved it on arrival. Did what it said. But then I noticed the ceramic crazing and then the mesh fell out of one of the ones I bought. And they’re not that old

      • Great sprouter

Having used a plastic tray sprouter for years and spent much time cleaning (and swearing!) spotted these jars and ordered 2, they arrived promptly, well packaged, and they are excellent. We have been using them for a few weeks, so easy to clean, no swearing! :)

Only for beans, or wheat or ~ ?. Not very useful to grow greens, because all is upside down after changing water. But i find a very good use, to soaking nuts/seeds, cashew/pumpkin seeds or whatever, to activate, or cleaning. Very easy to change water ! After that, i use my excalibur to make them dry again. Very very very good !
