The 9 Tray Excalibur Dehydrator With 26Hr Timer features the Parallexx™ design which uses a temperature controlled, fan forced, horizontal drying system mounted in the rear. Cool air is drawn in the back, heated and distributed evenly across each tray eliminating the need for tray rotation. With a reputation for excellence dating back several decades, Excalibur Dehydrators are rightly one of the most popular choices for health enthusiasts the world over.
Horizontal airflow provides even drying in this Excalibur Dehydrator, eliminating the tray rotation that is needed in some stacking type models. This means that drying time – and therefore energy cost – is reduced, as the dehydrator doesn’t need to be taken apart to change the tray sequence. One or all trays may be removed making space for larger items such as whole fruit.
The Excalibur is easy to clean with spills falling on seamless tray bottoms. BPA free flexible mesh tray inserts hold small food items above the tray frames. The Adjustable thermostat allows precise drying every time and square tray design increases drying area compared to dehydrators with round trays. The wide temperature range provides for delicate low temperature drying and preservation of enzymes in plant based raw food recipes, or higher temperature food drying to ensure safety for meat jerky, fish etc. Nine polycarbonate drying trays come as standard with this dehydrator, giving fourteen square feet of drying area and the trays are dishwasher safe. This Excalibur model includes a 26 hour ‘set it and forget it’ timer so you can leave the dehydrator to switch off automatically when the preferred drying time is finished.

GREAT PURCHASE
As i am venturing into a raw diet, i wanted to buy a good dehydrator. I have only had my dehydrator for a week, but have tried many different recipes and i’m very happy with the quality and efficiency of this dehydrator. I’ve dried fruit, made kale chips, raw burgers, crackers etc and all have come out really well. The only down side is that it is pretty noisy, but apart from that i am really pleased with my purchase.
