The Excalibur ECB52B Food Dehydrator is exactly the same as the American ECB50B version, but with the ‘2’ denoting that it is the correct voltage for the UK and Europe. This great little food dehydrator offers everything you need in a kitchen friendly compact format, with a temperature range that spans the requirements for safe drying of meat and fish at higher settings, right down to the lower enzyme friendly temperatures preferred by raw food fans. It can also be used to dry herbs, make fruit leathers and yoghurts and for a range of other applications too.
With a measly 400 watts of power providing all the heat that’s needed, electricity costs are kept to a minimum and the drying area is perfect for normal household use. If you don’t need to do bulk drying, like growers with large batches of fruits and veg at harvest time, for example, the 5 trays will be perfectly adequate for drying decent sized batches of ingredients. The sleek curved lines of this dehydrator also look good in the kitchen, offering a slightly more contemporary appearance than the rest of the Excalibur range.
